The base coat must be cured under a UV light for at least 1 minute to dry properly, ensuring a firm adhesion. It also cannot be cured for longer than 1 minute, as prolonged exposure will dry out the surface and interfere with the adhesion of the gel nail polish.

Wipe the excess polish off of the brush using the lip of the nail polish container and then apply evenly to the outer edge of the finger nail. Proceed to use a fine, even, surface coat. Dry under a UV light for 2 minutes (1 minute with an LED light) The first coat must be cured under the UV light for 2 minutes in order to dry properly. Otherwise the entire coat might rip and/or wrinkle around the edges and a solid, dry first coat is also essential for a laying the second coat properly.
Apply the second coat of gel nail polish using the same method as the first coat.
